Welcome

Hi! I’m Giovanni  Welcome to Growing Up Sideways!

My names Giovanni but most call me Gigi. I became a mother to my beautiful baby girl Julianna Elise in March of 2015! I am blessed to be a stay at home mother and decided that blogging was a way to stay in touch with the outside world. Getting to this point in my life has been full of obstacles and sharing them with others allows me to relieve some stress as well as help others who may be dealing with something similar. There’s always a lot happening in our home! Here are a few interesting things about me!


I live for spending quality time with my daughter Julianna. She is my world and my greatest accomplishment in life. I’m also passionate about natural childbirth, breastfeeding, animals, natural hair care, living a greener, healthier lifestyle, couponing, D.I.Y. crafting, baby wearing, & traveling. I eat way too much junk food (transitioning to a healthier lifestyle, slowly but surely) and love a good cup of tea. In the evenings (in between naps and laundry)  you can find me working on craft orders, breaking down coupon deals, planning a moms meet event, searching on pinterest for ideas, or studying for my doula certification. 

I may be young (24 and aging!) but i'm very passionate about helping individuals and families find products or lifestyle choices that  meet their needs and budgets. I will be writing thorough reviews on this blog about my experience with products that my family or  I have used myself.  I enjoy sharing the crafts I create or find as well as just life experiences in general.
